Volunteer Spotlight - Peggy Lefkin

Our featured volunteer this month is Peggy Lefkin! Peggy has always been interested in birds, and she found The Raptor Trust while trying to get connected with local birding groups on social media. She applied to volunteer, and the rest is history!

Peggy is one of our most devoted receptionist volunteers, helping train newcomers and giving a hand in the Gift Shop as well. She enjoys learning more about birds through her data entry and loves being able to interact with the community when they bring us injured birds. Being able to see a child's eyes light up when they talk about their favorite bird and hearing about their experience at The Raptor Trust is one of her favorite parts about helping out in our Gift Shop.

Peggy is partial to raptors and loves when she gets the opportunity to see any Owls, Eagles, or Kestrels when she is out and about. In her free time, she enjoys taking her granddaughters to TRT. She also volunteers at Tabbys Place, a cat sanctuary in Ringoes, NJ. To our "Halloween Queen," Peggy, thank you for all you do!
