TRT March Madness!
To raise funds for all the bird seed, suet, fruit, vegetables, mealworms, and formula we’re going to need this spring, TRT is inviting YOU into the madness– the March Madness, that is.
For $25, register to make bracket predictions. Every bird in the bracket is one that we treat at TRT each year. Some we see commonly, while others are endangered species. Proceeds from this competition benefit all of them!
The person with the most correct predictions will receive a private group tour (up to 7 other guests) of The Raptor Trust with our director. Second place wins Len Soucy’s New Jersey’s Hawks and New Jersey’s Owls combo book set.
The Contest
Upon registering, TRT will send you a participants-only link to the bracket. Here, you’ll enter your predictions on which birds you think will receive the most votes. Your picks must be submitted by March 7.
On March 8, friends and supporters will begin to vote (for free) on their favorite birds in each round. The number of votes determines the winner of each match.
Voting closes on March 30, and registered participants will be ranked by points accrued. The winner will be announced on March 31!
The Points
Winners of each match-up will be determined by public vote only after all predictions have been submitted (3/7).
In the Round of 32, players get two points for picking the winners of the 16 games.
In the Sweet 16, four points for each winner.
In the Elite 8, six points for each winner.
In the Final Four, 10 points for each winner.
In the Championship Game, 16 points for the winner.
