Sam Russo

Rehabilitation Staff

Sam graduated from Rutgers University in 2023 with a B.S. in Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources. They fell in love with birds after joining The Raptor Trust team as a volunteer in 2019 before becoming a seasonal staff member in 2020, and eventually joining the team as a year-round staff member in 2022. Sam also organizes the routine cleaning of the resident raptor enclosures. In their free time, they like to draw, go on hikes, cook, and spend time with their pet doves, cats, and invertebrates. On the side, Sam runs a small business selling their wildlife-themed art, even selling artwork in the TRT Gift Shop!
