Volunteer Spotlight - Summer Scholars '24

As we close another successful busy season at The Raptor Trust, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Summer Scholars Class of 2024. While some of you were camera shy and not pictured, we sincerely thank all of you for your work over the summer:

  • Kyle Norris

  • Thomas Kelly

  • Katrina Young

  • Bennett Low

  • Kaitlyn Charles

  • Emma Dougherty

  • Violette Hauge

  • Brooke Struble

  • Will Boyce

Your dedication and passion for wildlife rehabilitation shined through as you hand-fed fledgling songbirds, prepared specialized diets, and helped care for hundreds of injured and orphaned birds. You worked alongside our technicians, observing diagnostic procedures, monitoring bird behavior, and assisting with public inquiries—all while building skills in communication, teamwork, and time management.

We know the work was demanding, from long hours on your feet to learning the intricate details of avian rehabilitation, but you rose to every challenge with enthusiasm and compassion. Your contributions were invaluable, and your efforts directly impacted the lives of countless baby birds. Thank you for making this summer one to remember—we are excited to see where your passion for conservation and education takes you next. You will always be a part of The Raptor Trust family!
