The Raptor Trust teaches children about birds of prey at Cranford Community Center

The Raptor Trust was recently featured in the Union Daily News regarding a recent presentation at the Cranford Community Center delivered by our Associate Director of Education, Kate Seeland, to an enthusiastic audience of young children.

During the program, Seeland encouraged the children to “become owls” by donning imaginary owl hats and stretching their “wings.” She shared fascinating facts about owls, and Penny the Eastern Screech Owl made a special appearance. Seeland concluded by encouraging the audience to contact their nearest wildlife rehabilitation center if they encounter a bird in need.

The young audience was excited to discover more about these beautiful creatures. Liam (6) appreciated the range of owl sizes, while Kathryn (7) loved learning about owls and meeting Penny.
