The Raptor Trust in Millington, New Jersey, is dedicated to the care and rehabilitation of wild birds. We have provided free medical care to all species of wild birds since 1983.

Our Facilities

Our expansive complex consists of a Medical Infirmary, an Education Center, a Gift Shop, and over 70 exterior cages and aviaries. These structures provide over 130,000 cubic feet of space, designed to accommodate both recuperating birds awaiting release and the unreleasable individuals who call our facility home permanently.

At The Raptor Trust, we believe in caring for wild birds, educating people, and promoting stewardship. Our mission is education and the sincere belief that an understanding of the role of every creature in nature helps create a better world for us all.

Employment Opportunities:

  • The Education Department seeks a talented, experienced educator to head up our outreach program. Qualified individuals will have experience engaging audiences of many ages, knowledge of environmental conservation topics (especially birds), admin skills, and curriculum development experience. Bird handling/training experience helpful.

  • The Raptor Trust seeks an experienced Director of Development. Qualified candidates will have a proven background in non-profit fundraising, donor engagement and campaign management. Knowledge of environmental conservation and related policy issues helpful.
